1) Q. Can I rent short term up to 1 month? 

 A. Yes you can. We can provide security codes suitable to allow your entry for your term of stay.

2) Q. Are children allowed?

 A. Yes children are allowed. There is quite a lot of room for children to play in the basement area. We expect the children will be parented, such that there won't be damages to the home incurred. The upper balcony is completely enclosed with glass/railing.

3) Q. How close is the house to downtown Vernon.?

 A. The house is within city limits, in a new development called Turtle Mountain, and it is within 2 to 3 kilometers of the downtown and other shopping areas, including the performing arts centre, Wesbild Centre (Vernon Vipers Hockey) Vernon Curling Club, restaurants and more. Takes about 5 to 10 minutes by car to get to almost all of Vernons businesses.

4) Q. What comes with the rental?

A. Bedding, cooking and serving crockery, use of all appliances including laundry washer and dryer. Cleaning services are provided based on length of stay, generally cleaned at the end of the stay. Extra blankets, pillows, cleaning equipment are all provided.

Also, there is Cable TV, DVD, CD, Stereo, photcopier/scanner/printer, computer, internet, unlimited North American long distance calls included. Offshore calls are mostly 4 cent/minute offshore long distance.

The fridge is a front load fridge/freezer combo with filtered water and ice dispenser.

There are 2 more bedrooms and bathroom finished in the basement. 

There are two lockable storage rooms in the basement for recurring visits or skis, snowboards etc.

5) Q. How long does it take to get to Silver Star Mountain Resort?

 A. Allow about 25 to 30 minutes, pending traffic. The distance is 25 km from the house. It is 2 km less to get to the world class Sovereign Lakes Cross Country Ski Area. Folks have commented that they like to say in Vernon as there is more to do after skiing in town, as compared to staying on the hill. Many folks like to attend the Vernon Vipers Hockey Games, Theatres, and restaurants/pubs/clubs in the evenings.

6) Are Pets Allowed?

A. Generally not, however some non-shedding, non-allergenic cats and dogs may be allowed. Owners must pick up after their pets messes.
